There doesn't seem to be a rating available in MR. You can use tags and categories to sort books, then filter on those.

I use Calibre on my computer to store the "primary" copy of all my ebooks, with ratings and tags there. Then I enabled the OPDS server in Calibre, and from MapleRead I connect to that on my personal WiFi and download the books to the iPad. Tags come in with the download, rating does not.

The combo of Calibre + MapleRead has been extremely helpful for correctly sorting, tagging, and cleaning up the metadata on all my ebooks.
