Material can be free to copy if the copyright holder says so, but is never automatically free to copy or distribute.

I hope it says so about the material, as it was said that transferring the file to a friend or copying the file could kill the eBooks unless you had some tool. Otherwise, repurchase it again. I think this (sadly) helps explain why those
Geronimo Stilton eBooks became lost media.
