KOReader is largely designed for users who organize by folders. I'm the one doing things oddly, honestly.
Calibre's {id} is
library unique--basically just an increasing integer--while {uuid} is a made up universally unique string (example: calibre:dcf61b0b-c049-4f23-ac2f-663eed3eb9d6).
So if you keep books in more than one library, you could end up with conflicting {id} values, but not with {uuid}.
