What would happen if an author had a story (book, but lets call it a short story) on Amazon, such that it is available for lending on AU.

Then, the author releases, on another platform, an Anthology, which includes the above story. The anthology is NOT made available on Amazon.

1. Is there a general way (other than reporting by individuals) that this would be detected?

2. Does Amazon remove the book from AU if such a case is detected?

I'm looking for arguments to make about an author I'd like to make books available elsewhere than Amazon.
