KL2 - wake from sleep not working with no sleep cover when screenshots are enabled

I recently did a factory reset on my KL2, updated to latest firmware (4.38.23429 8/18/25), and installed KOReader, Nicklemenu, and KFMon. I also set screenshots=true in Kobo eReader.conf.

Ever since then, I was unable to wake the device from sleep. I'm not using a sleep cover and have sleep cover disabled in settings. The only way I could get the device to work from sleep mode was to long-hold the power button until it rebooted.

I finally figured it out when I noticed that I had dozens of screenshots stored on my device that I had not intentionally created. The screenshots all showed the sleep screen. I disabled screenshots and then wake-from-sleep started working fine again.

So apparently what was happening is pressing the power button while sleeping was taking a screenshot rather than waking the device.

Has anyone else seen this? Is this a reportable bug? Is there some workaround short of just disabling screenshots?
