@KevinH - well, the solution there is painfully simple: you just build (and maintain) two different versions of Sigil. And while you're at it embed a video player and audio player so that users can have tv and music playing in the background while they work... Problem solved.
Returning to Earth, though, I'm assuming that you're saying that the issue with the dropdown would be that users would loose the "one-click" functionality of the buttons. Is that right? Although, I personally would rather give up the one-click, 3-button optionality for a two-click multi-entry interface, I'm also thinking that for those that don't want to be selecting their automated lists via dropdown, they could assign keyboard shorcuts, which is a functionality that the existing drop downs already allow. The existing interface also uses the drop down (whereby one option is "run" and one is "edit"), after all.
