I am somewhat dumbfounded by the lack of testing some companies do before releasing a software update. One neighbour of mine has an ADS-B unit (using for aircraft tracking and supplying information about tracked aircraft). The software runs on a Raspberry Pi 4B supplied as part of the device (he is not an electronics hobbyist so went for a pre-assembled unit which does 1090MHz and 978MHz). A recent update broke the 978MHz capability of the unit. The update was pulled a couple of hours after release so not many units were affected. Unfortunately, the only solution is to revert to the original firmware loosing all customization so re-setup and updating is required. For some reason, the new software was not tested other than using the 1090MHz band.
