This is one of my in-person book club books.
It jumps about the timeline a bit, but is an excellent and horrifying look at Russia.

Next was one of the few Terry Pratchett books I haven't read: The Witch's Vacuum Cleaner. A collection of short stories he wrote for publication in the newpaper's children's section when he was working as a journalist. Great fun, and includes a very clear precursor of Truckers.

And now I'm reading In Search of the Dark Ages by Michael Wood. This is the 40th anniversary heavily revised version, including lots of new material about discoveries in the 40 years since its first publication in 1981.
