I'm not talking about necessity, but ease. I think it's easier to hold and turn pages with one hand on a smaller e-reader because it's less bulky and heavy. Whether you feel comfortable holding a 7", 8" or 10" e-reader is something I won't argue with.

I personally find it very uncomfortable to hold the Tolino Vision 6 (identical to the Kobo Libra 2) with one hand for a long time. Any of my 6" e-readers are much more comfortable for that specific purpose. But if you find it more comfortable, that's great.
