In any case, I've always found it more comfortable to use both hands (if they're not occupied) than just one to hold and turn the pages of an e-reader, regardless of its shape and size.

We do not need a small Reader to be able to hold it in one hand. A Kobo Libra 2 at 7" is easily able to be held in one hand and it's still easy for page turns via the touch screen.
