Are you embedding the covers into the ePubs before using StK? Using either Polish or Modify ePub would be the easiest way to do this. For USB copied books, if you are sending an ebook with an EBOK cdetype and an ASIN that matches an existing Amazon ebook, Amazon will update the cover when connecting to Amazon's servers. calibre can not work around this for MTP connecting Kindles which I seem to remember the 2024 Kindle Basic is since the system directory containing the thumbnails folder is no longer accessible.
