FYI: I installed Sigil 2.6.2 today and had no problems starting Sigil.

The runtime version numbers are:
C:\Windows\System32\msvcp140.dll: 14.38.32919.0
C:\Windows\System32\vcruntime140.dll 14.38.32919.0

Can't you simply bundle the runtime installer for the latest version when you release the next Sigil version?
