Coloured plastic tends to be of lower quality compared to black. It's a well known fact when buying cameras and lenses that it's better to go with black. Nothing serious, but paint comes off, and coloured plastic is easier to scratch. Cameras tend to retain value well, so the difference in coloured and black isn't insignificant.
