I haven't got Endeavor or Lewis on DVD yet (trying to find the full series box sets second hand). So I'm thinking of waiting with Morse until I have at least one of those, if not both.
I've settled on Cracker, over Messiah. From what I, very vaguely, remember of both series I feel I'm more in the mood for Cracker than Messiah.
