I’ve tried the nail polish solution on my old iPad cover (well, I didn’t have any nail polish so I’ve used a bit of glue) and it actually worked but it looked rather ugly.

I’m wondering if you can repair the case by cutting a piece of fabric to shape and simply gluing it to the case without sewing it in place? Do you have a HD machine that can pierce the cover without warping it?
