You might want to remember that your Kobo stores the covers with 3 different resolutions plus the cover image stored in the ebook. Since your Libra Colour does not have a mouse, I'm assuming that you are looking at the book covers using calibre.

If I look at the .kobo-images directory on my KLC, each book has 3 images which for me show as shown in the image below (I renamed the files to *.jpg). These files are generated from the cover image during the import process. When I look at the details in device view of a book, I see the resolution corresponding to the N3_LIBRARY_FULL.parsed image.
