Yes, for bootcamp to work, you need Bootcamp to install Apple's driver kit for Windows first which allows Windows to use macOS hardware.

If you have tried updating your graphics drivers on the Window side, then I am not sure what else can be done.

Using Sigil on the Mac side works. I have taken my older MacOS iMacs and installed Manjaro Linux on them with a KDE Plasma desktop and run Sigil and that works too.

So it must be the Bootcamp installed drivers. Try updating them.
