While there are 10,000+ books here in MobilRead forum, often we have to look elsewhere for our books. There are dozens of sites all over the net. That being said, there are some really great books here. Just not enough time to read them all.

Who is the hero? who is the author? What's the title of the book(s)?

Of the Harry Bosch series, well, Harry is the hero and Michael Connolly is the author. Titles... there are 13 of them that I've found;
The Black Echo
The Black Ice
The Concrete Blonde
The Last Coyote
Trunk Music
Angel's Flight
A Darkness More Than Night
City of Bones
Lost Light
The Closers
Chasing the Dime
The Narrows
For Clavell's Asian Trilogy Series, James Clavell is the author, titles are, in order;
Taipan
King Rat
Noble House
Rather than one single hero, there are two families plus assorted other folk who are followed from the founding of Hong Kong island to present day Hong Kong. Mixed in are some main characters from "King Rat," which takes place during W.W.II in Changi prison camp in Singapore who play an interesting role in Noble House. Taipan is not a great book, but it's interesting. Enough to have made a movie out of it. King Rat is a very good book, and they made a movie (with George Segal as the King) of this one too. 'Noble House' was a fantastic book (and fair movie with Pierce Brosnan) that I can re-read as often as I wish. The plots, sub-plots, twists and turns are as amazing as the character studies. One of those real 'page turners!' Just thinking about it makes me want to re-read it!
But the true genius is "Shogun!" While not part of the Asian Trilogy, there is one character that shows up in "Noble House" with a name out of "Shogun's" story. I think "Shogun" rates as one of the very best pieces of historical fiction ever written, with accuracy that can be fully appreciated by someone living in Japan or knowledgeable of Japanese history, geography, legend, and culture.
Everywhere! Do a web search for the authors on the various e-book sites. They are easy to find.
