I originally bought the Scribe but hated the Kindle system so much I returned it and got the Elipsa 2E. I found the screen looks pretty close, close enough that the Kobo was by far and away the winner for me. But I'd still like that tiny extra bit of crispness in the text so a new Elipsa would make me happy.
