Interesting link, but I already knew there are a bunch of alternatives for all the major apps. I did enjoy browsing the Synaptic Package Manager for apps and utilities. Unfortunately, some of the software I use are a bit on the esoteric side and trying to find something that works very similarly was too time-consuming.
