I think that the world economy runs on overpriced USB cables.
Generally you can buy cheap, unshielded, unpaired USB 2 cables.
For a proper USB 3 cable you'll have to spend $20.
It's funny, you can get a decent HDMI cable for under $10 and that has about the same wires as USB 3.
