Easily fixable (if you want) via a registry change:

If there's not already a BingSearchEnabled entry in
Code:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search
then add one (DWORD) with the value of 0 and restart.

Works for Windows 10 or 11.

Just throwing it out there. Might make it easier to keep your sanity.

I've never really had a problem sorting the local wheat from the online chaff, but clearly some do.
