Rule for bicycling/scootering on shared path:
If you don't actually hit anybody you've committed no foul.
You can race head on to a pedestrian as long as you detour at the last second.
Taking this to the extreme shows what a masterful bicyclist you are.

I'm a pedestrian and I no longer go on scenic shared paths.
They are just too unpleasant.
It's better just to walk the streets through industrial zones.
