I don't convert to Amazon formats but you can download, remove the Adobe ADEPT DRM (if present) and convert to KF8/azw3 to send to your Kindle. You could also use the various Send to Kindle options to send the ePub after DRM removal. This same process can be used on most sites selling ePub format ebooks.

I think your Kindle 4th generation (I think it is likely a Kindle Touch) can still download books from Amazon and you could use calibre and plugins to copy the books from it to your computer for editing/whatever which might be simpler for you.
