Because the inside and the outside of the cap are designed to slip you never know if the the cap is really securely closed.
This makes it for households without children less safe.
For a one member household I can dispense with with the child-proofedness.

I just told the pharmacy that we didn't want child proof caps for our medication and we never got them again. I've also seen some medication that came with a dual cap where you can flip over the cap and no more child proof.
