No need to apologize for bad power. When I lived in the Tidewater area of Virginia the power regularly went out multiple times a day if even a little breeze happened. They never properly trimmed the branches over the lines.
Unless you buy a new battery or get a battery backup system, you will be vulnerable.
Do check out Sigil's Checkpoint feature. It is fast after the initial checkpoint. Then get into the habit of clicking that button regularly. It can save you and your work, with all prior versions available to be used. Really helpful if you inadvertently delete or change something.
