Certainly when the price of everything could seemingly be changed at the push of a button, there's a bit of paranoia from the consumer side that your neighborhood Wal-Mart manager could just decide one day, "Let's see if I can randomly bump up the price on our top 100 items by $0.50 and whether anyone will notice."
