Hi All!

Thanks everyone for the helpful messages and thanks NiLuJe for the incredible work and support!

I'll try to describe how I solved "The item is not signed by an authorised developer" with the new keystore for PW2 device.

The initial status was as follows:

* Firmware 5.4.3.2
* Jailbroken with the tools available at 2014 (not sure how)
* KUAL and CoolReader didn't start because of certificate expiry error
* Amazon couldn't be registered (for the same reason?)

I tried to reset the device and install newest jailbreak and KUAL, after doing that I got "The item is not signed by an authorised developer" instead of certificate expiry error.

After reading trough the forum I came up with the idea of upgrading firmware from 5.4.3.2 to 5.6.1.0.6 after JailBreak and it worked. It may work with other version combinations didn't test it.

Describing the steps:

* Reset the device or install 5.4.3.2 firmware (if possible, may be other 5.x version would also work)
* Jail break using latest K5 JailBreak from "Packages targeting the Kindle 5" section on the first page: kindle-jailbreak-1.16.N-r19426.tar.xz. JailBreak is installed according to README by unpacking kindle-5.4-jailbreak.zip into usb root and updating from settings.
* Restart the device. Check that mkk folder has been created
* Install new keystore/devcerts from here, for pw2 use Update_mkk-20250419-k5-ALL_keystore-install.bin
* Put the KUAL-KDK-2.0.azw2 from the KUAL into documents folder. Find KUAL section in the first page
* At this point KUAL cannot be started because of "The item is not signed by an authorised developer" error.
* Download 5.6.1.0.6 firmware and install it. I found the link by googling specific s3 urls with firmware and found a link in this message
* After installing new firmware version KUAL should start

I installed KOReader (which was my goal) and it works just fine.
