I've not used Windows daily since late 2016. There are laptops cheaper than a complete Pi as laptop and almost all can run Linux.

I'm on my second Pi, a Pi4b. It's not getting much use.

You don't need 3D printing for a case, which is usually fragile plastic and poor finish.

A Pi for reading can't compete with a dedicated eink ereader (Kobo, Amazon, Pocketbook, Nook), nor with a €200 to €350 tablet / phone in the TCL Nxtpaper range. The advantage of the Pi is for small headless applications.
