I would say that USB Type C is one of the more successful standards.
Which is not to deny that "USB Type C" means nothing except that the plug will fit.
But I can still buy some crappy electronic product and not end up with a custom charger.

I just bought a low-end foldable Bluetooth keyboard for 7 € and it charges nicely on USB Type C.
