What makes this even stranger is that I see no path to QSysInfo::machineUniqueId() anywhere in the Qt code we used nor in the updatechecker.py code.

So unless I am missing something it is going out into the weeds someplace very early on. My guess is some incompatibility with Python 3.13 with macOS 11, but I can not find that documented anyplace. In fact, the Python docs say Python 3.13 works back to macOS 10.13.

This is a strange one.
