Boy, do I hate shipping.
If you tell me I can buy something off-the-shelf but it will take two hours of my time, I'm game.
This being public transportation (on subscription) and walking so it neither pollutes nor costs extra.
Compare that with some package that arrives some time and nails down four hours of my time and not even my choice of those four hours.
I've had few packages sent here in the last six months and twice already I've had to sign affidavits that although someone signed something I never received the package.
Well, what about package lockers? I tried Amazon once and they sent me a message, "Oh, the locker was full so we sent your package to <some random cell phone store>.
On a separate rant: I was looking for a laser place to do a trivial cutting job.
We're talking about two minutes laser time on 2 mm plexiglas.
I gave them the file, then checked back two days (and a weekend) later.
They had done nothing, they went off, came back with a quote of 60 €.
