It's a pre-built HP Z1. I had no choice. I guess I say it's slow because it does things like hang and it seems to "trip over its own feet" when copying or cut/paste files. What I mean is, sometime during a transfer it will pop up an error saying the file is in use. Well, yeah. By Windows transferring the file! It also takes longer than it did with Win 10. Booting may or may not be swift (HP installed some boot file protection thing that I cannot for the life of me remember the name). And all this is intermittent.
Anyway, I have what I have and it's adequate. I'm not a gamer and rarely have multiple heavy duty apps open. Firefox, Bitdefender, Backblaze, and JDownloader take the top spots in mem usage.

Thanks for the interest, but nothing's going to change at this time.
PS - I don't trust *any* tech company. The constant spying and data collection, etc. freaks me out and I do not believe them when they say they won't. I had a pointed reminder of that the other day from Amazon. Let me know if you want that story.

Bitdefender is said to be slow. Also, if you have Windows Defender running at the same time, that will slow things down. You really don't need Bitdefender. Windows Defender will do without a noticeable slowdown. Back when I used to run AVG until it got noticeably slow. Most AV is slow. I've been running Microsoft's AV since I dumped AVG. I've had no problem and no false positives.
