EDIT: It seems to be solved. I found another post where someone had the same issue and followed the solution posted on Reddit, here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/koreader/co...mment/n4d02zc/
I downloaded the latest nightly build and replaced the /.adds/koreader directory with the one in the nightly zip file and KOReader seems to be up and running.
Plato still doesn't work and I need to see if I can find a fix for it. In the meantime, I'll just use KOReader.
Hi,
I have tried a few times to install KOReader and Plato on my Clara BW (latest firmware) with no luck so far.
I have followed the instructions in both post 1 and 2 of the 'One-Click Install Packages for KOReader & Plato' thread with the same result each time.
Once installed, I can see the NickelMenu and both apps listed. If I select KOReader, there's a pause for around 5 seconds, the backlight goes off, the 3 dot progress indicator shows briefly on screen and it just takes me right back to the main Kobo screen with the backlight back on.
If I select Plato, the backlight goes off, the screen remains the same, but the Clara GUI completely freezes. I have to use the power button in order get the Kobo to work again.
After the initial 'Updating' on screen after the install and the reboot, here's what I see on my Clara:

Image 1 is the main screen showing some weird new 'books'.
Image 2 is what I see if I click on the one on the right 'unknown author'.
Image 3 is the PowerShell results, clearly showing everything worked.
Has anyone any ideas please? I'm baffled
In case it helps, here's the final entry in the KOReader log file:
