It looks as if someone may have gotten the rights to at least this first book in the Dan Rhodes series, although it can't be Crider himself, since he passed away some years ago. In any case, a new edition, published by Crossroads Press is free right now in the US and UK. I hate (truly hate) the new cover, but presumably the words are still the same , and they were worthy of an Anthony award back when first published...
