Re: Embedding color covers into Kindle books.

First, using Kindle Paperwhite 2 (6th gen) and always the latest version of Calibre, most recent release of De-DRM (Nov 2024?), most recent KFX Input. As you all probably know, adding a book directly from the PW to Calibre works great except the cover and color illustrations are now B/W. Can't do much for the illustrations because I'm not up to dealing with the latest workaround.

What I want is to download the color cover and insert it into the ebook so that should I get a non-Kindle as an ereader, I'll have a color cover embedded in the book - just like any other retail epub/azw3/kfx. I know someone online who is doing it, but when I've asked them for help in the past, they've blown me off as if I'm a rival or something, which I feel is an a88h0l3 attitude.

Is anyone else doing this and how, please?
