No. Not for fiction, novels etc. It's a distraction and annoyance. People reading novels want the words. An occasional static image is acceptible.
And for comics or graphic novels only some form of navigation. If you have to zoom speech bubbles the screen is too small. comics or graphic novels are poor in reflowable formats.
Just because something is possible doesn't make it good for ordinary novels or even most text books.
