The shower drain is partially blocked. Usually cleaning the siphon/hair catcher solves it, but not this time (cleaned it 3 times now). However, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a problem with the siphon. It's one you can easily pull out of the drain for cleaning, but the thing doesn't open up, and only has a small plug. So we clean is using a drinking straw brush and letting it soak in water with some cleaner for a bit and hope for the best.

You can order new ones online. But I can't find the one we have. So I messaged the manufacturer if it's possible to send them some pictures so they can identify it for me so I can order a new one. Even if it isn't the siphon causing the problem it wouldn't hurt to replace the old one.

If it's a blockage further in the drain it might be hard to find a plumber this time of year (my sister doesn't want to use the Dutch equivalent of Drano, because it isn't good for the pipes and she doesn't want to use one of those spiral unblockers ourselves).
