Huh! I only use Calibre KEPUB (but there is a different issue...Later)
When viewing the book: Bring up the menu (I tap the center): Aa : Font face: Publishers Default
This assumes the fonts are embedded in the book or are a standard on the Kobo.

Now for the other issue with KEPUB. If the stylesheet has
letter-spacing: , the Kobo handles the spaces poorly
ChapterForty-Two
That is now what you see instead of Chapter Forty-Two

Another issue I have run into is when a dropcap uses GreatVibes and the size is (results being) over 4em, it cant handle wide letters, and the whole lette becomes a cluster of dots on the left edge of the dropped box (I assume this is an overflow condition as the space looks proper.
