Hi everyone,
I’m trying to revive a Kobo Glo N613 that belonged to my grandmother. This device has a lot of sentimental value to me, and I’d really love to be able to use it again — even just in offline mode, to read and keep her memory close.
I’ve already opened it, flashed a fresh microSD card with the factory image, and followed all the steps I could find. Unfortunately, I’m stuck at the initial setup: the Wi-Fi connects, but then the update either crashes or freezes. I’ve tried different Wi-Fi networks, redoing the image, resets… nothing seems to help.
I read in the forums that some kind users have shared pre-activated SD card images in the past — versions that skip the setup and go straight to the main screen. I think that would solve my issue and let me sideload books manually through Calibre.
If anyone still has such a working image, I would be truly grateful. This isn’t just about fixing a device — it’s about preserving something meaningful to me. 💜
Thank you for reading and for any help you can offer 🙏
