Question Sending books to device (Kindle) template not working as supposed

I would like to add a short genre at the end of a filename sent to Kindle.
I created a column like tags, filled in some test books and changed the templates first to send to disk (works fine) and then send to device as well.

My template is:

{authors} - {series}{series_index:0>3s| | - }{title} {#genre:|(|)}

#genre is my added column.

Result would be
Isaac Asimov - Foundation 001 - Foundation (scifi)

Noticed that send to device does not accept the template (can't apply)

I use an old version of Kindle Paperwhite, always offline.
Format is always mobi.

Any suggestions?
