Damon Runyon is best known for his "Broadway" short stories but he also wrote hard-boiled pulp stories, and one is in this issue. Another rare story is by Anthony Abbott, real name Fulton Oursler, from a shortlived magazine which specialised in photo-stories with the photos posed by the celebrities involved; this one features Jean Harlow, Fulton Oursler (!), and several other well-known celebs of the era; unfortunately I couldn't include the photos. The remaining stories are more conventional, all in the Life+70 public domain.
