Thank you for all replies.
The language of the readers is English ands so are most of my books. Including the one I used in my first post.
The book is bought in Denmark as an ADE protected EPUB and converted to KEPUB via Calibre.
I have tried several other books including one in Danish. Same problem with all tested books.
All books are sideloaded and Wifi is off.

I then tried several things and after many trials discovered that if do not use the Calibre "Polish books" feature then the search function works as expected in all books, Danish as well as English books.
I always use this function as the last step when I add a new book to Calibre.
