I'd use a tablet with an SDCard slot for comics. Even the 8¨seems too small, though the actual "manga" style stuff is about 1/2 size of US style Comics and about 1/3rd size of graphic novels.

However I agree if the main usage is manga (which is usable on 7 to 8"), then storing all of them on the ereader isn't practical.

They don't have SD card slots to save less than $1. It's terrible. Though my Android eInk (Mars) has an SD card slot it only seems to work up to 32G. I've a really old camera that was sold before bigger than 32G cards existed and it works up to 2T byte.
