I honestly gave up on using the Series part of Calibre. I found that when it comes to it, no matter what machine I want to throw my epubs on, I'm more concerned with the series order than the title. And I didn't want to worry about treating them as separate things. So, all my titles start with the series info...

[Rai Rahotep 01] ~ Nefertiti
[Rai Rahotep 02] ~ Tutankhamun
[Rai Rahotep 03] ~ Egypt

It's all good for me, and seems to work across all my devices. I'm lucky, anymore, if I can remember the name of the series, let alone the individual book name and order.
