The win moves on.

@solitaire1; At one time, I spend some time browsing the Internet for ideas on indestructible mailboxes for an old friend. After the research, the four of us actually implemented one based on a 5x5 inch by 7 foot steel post filled with rebar which was half buried with 4 sacks of cement forming the base. The mailbox was quarter inch steel construction. This was brought on by one of the friends living in a rural area where late night idiots would swerve off the road and cross over his property. After installation, it took about 3 weeks before an idiot hit the mailbox with his pickup truck. Shall we say, the mailbox was not indestructible but the pickup truck was never going to hit another mailbox. Oddly, the driver was screaming at the RCMP about the illegality of the mailbox since no other mailbox they'd hit had done other than minor front end damage to the truck.

Edit: We were perhaps lucky that the idiot did not try to sue.
