Could you maybe describe what is happening.

When the GloHD is detected by calibre are any messages displayed by calibre?

Do you have Kobo Utilities installed in calibre? If so please do a database consistency check with it.

Is the date/time correct on the GloHD?

When the device is disconnected does it display a message about processing new content?
