Send to Kindle doesn't work for Kindle formats and uses Amazon's conversion. Also uses Internet twice and is limited in size. It gives Amazon a copy. It doesn't help to organise books and can fail to convert.
Calibre conversion and USB connection is simpler, private and higher quality.
