Hi All,

I've jailbroken a few new Kindles recently, but am having an error that no amount of factory resets and reinstall of firmware seems to help.

Kindle: Scribe 2024
Firmware: 5.17.3

Jailbreak succeeds
Hotfix is applied to make it persistent.

However, when using the KUAL hotfix, it says that an invalid update file was found and it removes it from the root directory.

If I try it through mrpackages, it attempts to install, but has the following error:

[2025-07-17 @ 23:17:34 -0600] :: [MRPI r19303] - Beginning the processing of package 'Update_KUALBooklet_c6ac782_install.bin' (KUALBooklet c6ac782 I) . . .

Failed to parse package 'Update_KUALBooklet_c6ac782_install.bin' (KUALBooklet c6ac782 I) [return code: 127], skipping . . .

KindleTool output:
env: can't execute '/mnt/us/extensions/MRInstaller/bin/K5/kindletool': No such file or directory

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get KUAL installed?
