- i can send the books to the kindle (send to device) but they don’t have a cover (thumbnail). They are readeable nevertheless.
- the artwork is functioning because with the same mac and Calibre I send the same books to my own Kindle Voyager and Kindle Oasis and works on both of them flawlessly. (well, maybe 1-2 in 10 books misses a cover, but not ALL 124 of them)
- i tried transforming them in .azw3 and sending them
- i tried emptying the thumbnail folder manually while connecting to a win computer (on which unfortunately I cannot install calibre)
- i tried the .mobi again
- i have factory reset the kindle
- i transfered the books while on airplane mode and then connected to wifi
- kindle firmware is up to date and it's registered
Everything fails to send the thumbnails. I gave up but promised my friend I will try to help her after the summer vacation. Any suggestions, please?
I'm using this for 15 years and never had an insurmountable problem lile now.
p.s. Calibre version is 6.22.0 and I don’t want to upgrade from fear of not having to update my deDRM plugin and not making it work (it happened with previous updates and it was too difficult to resolve)

calibre will not see the Kindle because it's too old. You have to upgrade calibre. As for DeDRM, I've never had an issue. upgrading DeDRM. What version are you running? If it's 10.0.9 or the alpha version, it will work as is on the latest calibre.
